Interim 2016Fort Collins, Colorado
For my senior interim trip, I chose to go to Fort Collins. In Fort Collins, we volunteered the W.O.L.F sanctuary. We took down fence on a piece of property that they no longer used, in anticipation of moving facilities. After volunteering, we took a tour of the facility and got some one-on-one time with the wolves and wolf dogs. While in Fort Collins, my group took a wild life class at Rocky Mountain National Park on snowshoes. Each pair was assigned a native species to the park, and throughout the class, learned how that animal survives year-round in the park. On the last day of the trip, I was able to shadow the veterinarian students at Colorado State University. I was shadowing in Community Practice, where I observed Junior and Senior students doctor appointments, as well as observe lab work. |
